Q. Can you please describe the nature of your business?
A. Cloud 9 has a number of retailventures across Kolkata, basically we have established ourselves as a renowned Retail Chain of Kolkata. Our different ventures include Ad Agency, Restaurants, Online Marketing, Beauty Parlours. We create and advertise for various clients in newspapers, magazines, OOH, hoardings etc.
Q. What persuaded you to advertise your retail initiatives?
A. We mainly advertise for our clients but we also promote our own retail chain or ventures. We wanted to announce the launch of our new restaurant and parlour and promotion is the only way to attract attention of the customers as well as get clients.
Q. Who was your target audience?
A. Our restaurant and parlour was launched in South Kolkata in posh localities where the residents are financially well-off and can afford certain added luxuries in life. The ad was mainly to reach out to the upper middle class and upper class people, who invest quite a hefty amount of money on beauty treatments and outings.
We advertised our Ad agency to attract the small and medium sized organisations who need an advertising guide to help them in promoting themselves through different advertising mediums.
Q. How effective is newspaper advertising for your business/businesses? Will continue to invest in the same?
A. Newspaper advertising being a tried and tested advertising medium, has helped us a lot in getting genuine and earnest customers. In Kolkata newspapers are a necessity and people like staying updated about everyday events and incidents taking place in the city and across the country. Maintaining a knowledge base is essential for them in areas such as politics, entertainment, hangout places in and around the city, shopping destinations as well as personal grooming. Newspapers provide all the information on such topics establishing itself as a complete package as well as a reliable medium and source of advertising and info. Hence newspaper advertising is highly effective.
We advertise in newspapers even now mainly for our clients and will continue to do so, if not to promote ourselves then at least for our clients.
