All India Radio has appointed releaseMyAd as its only virtual advertising agency authorized to accept and process radio advertisement bookings for its network of stations, which include Akashvani, Vividh Bharati, FM Rainbow and FM Gold.

To reinforce its presence in the virtual world, AIR has also mandated releaseMyAd.com to meet twin objectives of optimum inventory utilization as well as revenue augmentation.

The facility allows advertisers to book ads online across all channels of AIR. Q. Can you describe the nature of the services you provide?

A.  Rejouvenance Day Spa is a wellness and therapy centre. We provide rejuvenating, refreshing and anti-stress therapies. These therapies include massages, physiotherapy, spa etc. Our products range from Swedish, Thai and other international therapeutic massages to herbal, ayurvedic, Keralite and many other Indian massages. We also provide muscle relaxing therapies to help people de-stress and enable proper movement of limbs and other muscles. We are currently located at Secunderabad, Andhra Pradesh and mainly service people located in the same and surrounding regions.

Q. What was the need to advertise?

A. When the centre was established we needed customers and the best way to get customers is to advertise and promote a name. We thought of the most reliable source of advertising, in which people always have faith and we could only think of newspapers. We wanted to promote our services, make people aware of the brand and the services. Making people know about our presence in a place close to them and getting clients were our two main purposes.

Q. Who was your target audience?

A. Our service cost starts with Rs. 1500-Rs.3000 which basically appeals and can be afforded by the Elite class. We wanted to reach out to the people who need to relax and have the capital to pay for it. The therapies are quite expensive hence we targeted the rich and the fairly moneyed class.

Q. How effective was newspaper advertising? Do you plan to invest in newspaper advertising in future?

A. To be honest, it is gradually picking up. Since we are trying to reach out to the cream of the society, the number of responses is not to high but whatever responses we get, they are fairly big clients. They are willing to spend as high as Rs.10,000 in one session or one visit. So we are not complaining about the responses.

We are also starting to advertise on Radio and a few local Television channels. But we will continue to publish ads in newspapers and gradually make them prominent and place them in prominent sections of the newspaper.

Q. Why did you choose to book your ad online through releaseMyAd?

A. Well, it was purely due to time constraints and convenience. Most of the work these days is done online and travelling to a publishing house for getting ads printed is a hectic task. It is not possible to donate so much time for booking ads every time we need to publish an advertisement. So we chose the Internet booking options as it saves time and offers quick solutions.
