Q. Could you please tell us about your education franchise initiative?
A. Taking up the franchise of Ables Education was a Business initiative for me. The institute was established in Bhubaneswar, Orissa in 2009 and I decided to become part of this noble venture as imparting education in any form, always benefits the learner and the educator as well. Ables Education was dedicated to provide coaching to aspiring IITians, Doctors and engineers and different people took up the franchise of the institute in their location or as per their convenience.
Q. Why did you feel the need to advertise?
A. Ables Education is an institute which originated in Kota, Rajasthan. We wanted to expand and felt the need to advertise so that people would know about our expansion into Bhubaneswar, Orissa. The advertising intent was to create brand awareness about Ables across all of Orissa.
Q. When you advertised, whom did you intend to reach out to?
A. Ables wanted to mainly reach out to high school students from class X, as an early start meant multiple attempts and better chances at succeeding in the entrance exams. We also wanted to reach out to their parents as they are the decision makers in such matters, even now, across India. We mainly advertised in English newspapers as we thought that parents and students with an English base and academic background are financially stable enough to avail our coaching facilities.
Q. How effective did Newspaper Advertising prove for you? Will you invest in newspaper advertising in futre?
A. Newspaper Advertising was the most successful medium for our institute. We received numerous queries from across the state including parents and students who wanted enrol their children or themselves respectively. Maximum students and parents who finally joined the institute came through newspaper ads.
