Q. Can you describe the nature of your business or work?

A. Thrive Solar Energy Pvt. A. Well, we mainly advertised for the purpose of recruitment. We had several positions open in our organisation as it is a developing organisation, so we had to invite applicants from across India for different branches. Several vacancies keep coming up in the organisation from different locations and to reach out to local candidates, regional English and regional language newspapers are quite resourceful.

Q. What kind of applicants were you looking for?

A. We didn’t have any specific academic requirements except that the candidates should be a graduate and possess good communication skills. A. The responses received through the newspaper recruitment adverts varied from place to place. For example, we got many good candidates from several cities of Uttar Pradesh and even Hyderabad provided good responses. But not all the cities had similar response rates from candidates. Though the people we hired from UP and Hyderabad were excellent and are still employed with us.

As far as newspaper ads are concerned, we still publish ads in various newspapers across India, but more for promotional purposes than for recruitment. But surely newspaper is a terrific medium for promotions and appointing employees in certain areas.
