Newspaper Matrimonial Advertisements

Know our Customer’ is a very special initiative for releaseMyAd.  It is one of the favourite sections of our entire team. This is simply because, “Know our Customer” helps us solve issues faced by our clients, make amends in our system, highlight the strengths and features of a medium of advertising, improve our services and above all communicate on one-to-one basis with our customers. Through this section we understand our customers and attempt to convey that how newspaper as a medium has aided their purpose or need for advertising.’

Mr. Sharad Goel is the father of two sons and his family is based out of Uttarakhand. Theirs is a simple nuclear family who still believes in the traditional culture and medium of creating arranged matrimonial bonds. His views on newspaper advertising provided us with a new and more personalised perspective entangled with Newspaper Advertising, especially for matrimonial relationships.

Q. Could you tell us about yourself and your family?

A. We are a family of six people, at present, comprising of myself, my wife, my two sons and my two daughters-in-law, after my sons got married. We are settled in Uttarakhand and I have a business of my own. While my sons occasionally look in to it, they are usually engrossed with their own jobs.

A. It was simply for matrimonial purposes! We were looking for brides for both our sons and hence decided to place an advertisement in the newspaper.

Since we have two sons, which is why, we had to release matrimonial ads twice. Also, we weren’t getting proper responses from any other medium, so we had no other option but to advertise in newspaper.

Q. Did you want to reach out to any specific set of people?

A. Actually, we did. We wanted to reach out to prospective brides, who were working or have a professional engagement. From the community front, we were looking for Agarwal families settled in and around Meerut, UP or Uttarakhand.

Q. How was your experience with newspaper advertising? If necessary, would you invest in the same again?

A.  My experience with newspaper advertising was highly unexpected.  We did not get any proper responses or matches through websites, marriage bureaus or even close relatives. Newspaper was our best option as we though, it might breach our privacy. But strangely or fortunately we received only genuine responses from very good families. Mainly parents of prospective brides contacted us. We finally found matches for our sons through newspaper ads itself.

But as of now, we do not feel that we would need to advertise in newspapers for any purpose

Q. Why did you book your newspaper ads through an online portal like releaseMyAd?

A. While we were searching for matrimonial profiles online, we came across releasemyad.com. Since we didn’t want to go through any unnecessary hassles of hiring an agent, we chose to book our matrimonial advert through an online portal. Maintaining discretion is also one of the main reasons to book advertisements.

Above all, it saves a lot of time and we can do all the work on our own through the website.
